The Dragon Falls

You mined, crafted, survived the night, opened a portal to another world and beat the game's final boss. A dragon egg sits on the pedestal — and the world is still yours to build in.

How to Play

First five minutes

• Punch a tree → logs. Open the inventory (E) and craft planks, then sticks, then a crafting table.
• Place the table, right-click it and craft a wooden pickaxe. Mine stone → cobblestone → stone tools.
• Coal + stick = torches. Build a shelter before dark — zombies, skeletons and creepers spawn in the dark.

Survival

• Hearts are health, drumsticks are hunger. Eating restores hunger; a full hunger bar regenerates health.
• Hostiles spawn in the dark — outdoors at night, and in unlit caves at any hour. Torches stop them spawning nearby, and zombies and skeletons burn up at dawn.
• Hold Shift to sneak: you move slowly but cannot walk off a ledge.
• Kill cows and pigs for meat, then smelt it in a furnace (fuel: coal, planks or a lava bucket).
• Farming: hoe on dirt → farmland (next to water stays wet), plant seeds from tall grass, harvest wheat → bread.
• Breed cows/sheep/pigs by right-clicking two of them with wheat.

Progression

• Iron and diamond are found deep underground. Diamond tools mine obsidian.
• Build a 4×5 obsidian frame and light it with flint & steel → the Nether.
• Endermen drop ender pearls. Pearl + glowstone dust = eye of ender. Use one on an obsidian frame → the End.
• Slay the Ender Dragon to finish the game. Enchant your gear first at an enchanting table using XP levels.

Redstone

• Redstone dust carries power up to 15 blocks, losing 1 per block. Levers, buttons and pressure plates are sources.
• A redstone torch on a powered block turns off — that is a NOT gate, and everything else (AND, OR, clocks) is built from it.
• Outputs: lamps, doors, pistons (they push up to 12 blocks) and TNT.
